Airline Coordinator

About the role

The Airline Coordinator ensures that airline catering orders are prepared, loaded, and delivered to aircraft in strict compliance with hygiene, quality, and safety standards. Working on‑site at the airport, you will liaise with multiple departments to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfilment for airline customers.

Key responsibilities

• Verify order details against passenger figures and identify any missing items.
• Coordinate loading teams on the apron, loading bays, and aboard aircraft.
• Hand over checked and loaded orders to cabin crew and communicate last‑minute changes with the dispatch department.
• Supervise truck clocking manoeuvres, loading equipment, and ensure all safety regulations are followed.
• Complete and submit flight paperwork, including flight logs and temperature records (CCP).
• Maintain equipment standards, manage waste, and drive profitability.
• Provide documentation and guidance to loading staff and cabin crew.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate with Business Administration focus.
• Valid Code 8/10 driver’s licence.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar logistics or airline catering environment.
• Clear criminal record.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical setting.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience in production/operations logistics.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and quality standards.
