About the role

Inspired Education is seeking a dedicated Afrikaans Teacher to join Reddam House Durbanville, a premier private school offering a dual Cambridge and IEB curriculum. The successful candidate will nurture learners from early years through to A‑Level, fostering a love of language and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Afrikaans lessons across all relevant year groups.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes active, student‑centred learning.
• Maintain professional standards regarding punctuality, conduct, and quality of student work.
• Continuously evaluate and refine teaching practice through reflection and professional development.
• Provide extra support lessons on two afternoons per week as required.
• Develop high‑quality teaching resources and materials.
• Respond to parent communications (email and telephone) within 24 hours.
