Advancing Financial Adviser – Westville, Chesterville, Sherwood, Durban

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to serve clients in Westville, Chesterville, Sherwood and Durban. The role involves providing consultative financial advice, selling long‑term insurance and investment products, and building lasting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultative selling and strategic financial advice to clients.
• Identify customer needs and sales opportunities, and translate engagements into sales.
• Collate, analyse and synthesise client information to recommend suitable products.
• Maintain accurate sales data and use sales software for reporting.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS requirements and regulatory examinations.

Required profile

• Matric (or equivalent) qualification.
• At least 12 months experience in financial services as a Financial Adviser.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business and relevant FAIS qualifications (e.g., Investments Class of Business, RE5).
• Valid driver’s licence, own car, and clear criminal and credit checks.
• Strong computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication, and sound planning abilities.
