Advancing Financial Adviser – Multiple Locations

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking motivated Advancing Financial Advisers to join our team across several South African towns. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them understand financial products and guiding them through simple inquiries and sales processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide standard customer service and handle routine inquiries.
• Assess compliance with internal standards for each interaction.
• Receive and assist visitors, directing complex matters to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system and record follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their needs.
• Make outbound calls or visits to allocated prospects to develop relationships.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints as the first point of contact.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Support routine business development tasks and identify new sales opportunities.
• Collect and input relevant data into spreadsheets or standard formats.

Required profile

• National Qualification Framework Level 5 – Higher, Advanced or Occupational Certificate, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established processes.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a consultative selling approach.
