Advancing Financial Adviser – East London

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking an Advancing Financial Adviser to join our East London team. The role focuses on delivering consultative financial advice, selling long‑term insurance and investment products, and contributing to the company’s vision of writing Africa’s story together.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultative selling and financial advice to clients.
• Manage customer feedback and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify customer needs, evaluate information and uncover sales opportunities.
• Qualify prospects, conduct probing questions and support strategic selling initiatives.
• Maintain sales data, use sales software and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Matriculation Certificate (Matric) or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Financial Adviser in financial services.
• Completion of Long‑term Insurance Class of Business.
• Additional FAIS qualifications such as Investments Class of Business, RE5, or an FSCA‑approved qualification (advantageous).
• Valid driver’s licence, own car, and a clear criminal and credit check.
