Administration Manager – Retail Store (40 hrs)

About the role

The Administration Manager will support the Store Manager in maintaining efficient store operations at JD Sports, Mall of Africa. This full‑time position (40 hours per week) focuses on stock administration, cash handling, reporting and ensuring compliance with safety and risk‑management procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with stock‑take and overall store administration.
• Monitor and analyse stock movement, extract reports and present turnover and performance data.
• Implement risk‑management procedures to minimise stock loss and shrinkage.
• Maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with all administrative, reporting and policy procedures.
• Control cash and transactional activities, ensuring processes are followed.
• Uphold store safety and security standards.
• Process customer transactions using the POS system and promote loyalty programmes.
• Deliver excellent customer service, identify needs and enhance the shopping experience.
• Follow visual merchandising guidelines and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with the team to meet sales targets and store objectives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years retail or administrative experience.
• Strong organisational, planning and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Computer literacy for basic administrative tasks.
