Accountant – Vacation Rental Industry

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant to join our remote team, supporting vacation‑rental clients with full‑cycle accounting, reporting, and financial analysis. You will work closely with both client stakeholders and internal colleagues to ensure accurate, compliant financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple clients, including AP/AR, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant regulations, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Perform job costing, project accounting, and budget‑to‑actual analysis as needed.
• Support tax compliance by preparing documentation, coordinating with external tax advisors, and assisting with audit requests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, providing insights to improve financial operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Fluent English (B2+), comfortable communicating with high‑profile clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑mindset environment.
• Availability 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday to Friday.
• Works as an independent contractor.
