Accountant – Reporting & Tax (CA(SA) Required)

About the role

This position is for a qualified CA(SA) to lead reporting and tax functions within a global engineering organisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing commercial insight and ensuring compliance across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end consolidation and group financial reporting.
• Manage actual, forecast and budget reporting cycles.
• Oversee preparation of annual financial statements and statutory filings.
• Handle corporate tax, VAT, WHT and PAYE calculations and submissions.
• Ensure tax compliance with deadlines and statutory requirements.
• Review intercompany transactions and assess related tax implications.
• Prepare Board and EXCO reports, delivering commercial insights.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification with 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation.
• Experience in engineering, construction or manufacturing environments is preferred.
