Accountant – Motor Dealership

About the role

This position supports the Financial Manager of a motor dealership in Nelspruit. The accountant will handle day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate recording, reporting and cash management for the dealership.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and allocate accounts.
• Receipt, allocation and reporting of debtor balances.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and FIC reports.
• Allocate cash sheets and manage petty cash and banking cash.
• Assist with accounts payable and vehicle administration functions.
• Execute general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinate uniform fittings, ordering and processing.
• Process floor‑plan payments and DIC (Dealer Incentive Compensation).
• Control ordering books and perform other ad‑hoc administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Strong ability to prioritize duties and manage time effectively.
• Capable of working independently and performing well under pressure.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Team‑player attitude and willingness to support multiple franchise operations.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Evolve Accounting software.
• Diploma in Accounting.
