Accountant – Manufacturing Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Accountant to join the finance team of a well‑established manufacturing business in Cape Town. You will own the full accounting function, working closely with operations and management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Compile annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and provisional tax submissions.
• Handle SARS queries, audits, and compliance matters.
• Oversee payroll processes and statutory compliance.
• Manage supplier and debtor portfolios, including ageing reports.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting qualification.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.
