Accountant – Kempton Park – R50k CTC per month

About the role

The Accountant will support smooth financial operations for a logistics/manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and delivering accurate reporting to senior management. This full‑time, onsite position offers a competitive CTC of R50,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform cost analysis.
• Oversee monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement and reconcile balance‑sheet, creditor, and inter‑company accounts.
• Prepare journals, Fixed Asset Register, finance charges schedule, and vehicle finance transactions.
• Process supplier invoices, inter‑company transactions, COD claims, and salary invoices using Sage Evolution.
• Manage inventory reconciliation for fuel bowser systems and packaging material.
• Handle VAT submissions, tax administration, and liaise with auditors for year‑end and IFRS compliance.
• Support AP & AR teams, respond to queries, and provide internal reporting.
• Collect KPI data for the Business Scorecard and assist with budgeting and re‑forecasting.
• Identify process issues, design solutions, and drive improvements through dashboards and BI reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant Accounting degree (BCom or equivalent) – non‑negotiable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics or manufacturing finance.
• Strong analytical, organizational and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management skills.

• Knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
