Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support the finance team by processing transactions, preparing management accounts and financial statements, and handling tax compliance. This role involves both office-based and remote work, offering a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly processing of transactions and reconciliations.
• Preparation of management accounts and financial statements using Draftworx and Sage.
• Submission of SARS Income Tax, VAT, PAYE returns and handling related queries.
• Management of SARS notifications and client matters via e‑filing or branch visits.
• Preparation of payroll schedules and payslips.
• Administrative tasks and coordination of finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Science, BCom Accounting, BCom Finance or a Diploma in Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience (advantageous).
• Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and South African taxation legislation.
• Familiarity with the SARS e‑Filing system.

Required skills

• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• Proficiency with Sage/Pastel accounting software.
• Experience using Draftworx.
• Ability to use the SARS e‑Filing system.

What we offer

• Salary of R12,000 per month (all‑inclusive).
• Hybrid work arrangement: at least three days onsite in Bryanston and two days remote.
