Accountant

About the role

Evergreen Lifestyle, South Africa’s leading retirement brand, is seeking a passionate and motivated accountant to join its finance team based in Tokai, Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the company’s retirement villages and will be expected to bring a strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial statements.
• Manage general ledger functions and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Apply thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles in daily tasks.

Required profile

• Completed Accounting degree (mandatory).
• Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience.
• Completed articles (advantageous).
• Hospitality sector experience (advantageous).
• South African citizenship and own transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAGE Evolution.
• Proficiency in Pastel accounting software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
