Accountant – Group Finance (Statutory Reporting)

About the role

Senwes is seeking an Accountant – Group Finance to lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and control‑environment activities across the Group Finance function. The role ensures accurate reporting, strong financial controls, statutory compliance and provides insights that support business decisions throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial plans for the group.
• Manage month‑end close, financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Maintain corporate governance, compliance and internal financial controls.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting and capital‑expenditure tracking.
• Support audit processes, statutory reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse financial results and monitor business performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with completed SAICA articles.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial reporting or a finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards and control frameworks.
• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP financial system.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, balance‑sheet reconciliations and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and financial interpretation abilities.
• Effective stakeholder engagement, planning and communication skills.
