About the role

We are seeking an experienced accountant to take full ownership of the numbers for a well‑established construction and infrastructure support business. Based in Johannesburg, you will manage the complete accounting function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting and financial health.

Key responsibilities

Perform end‑to‑end accounting for small to large entities, including month‑end close and reconciliations.
Process transactions, prepare management accounts and tenant invoicing.
Manage cash flow, budgets, audit preparation and compliance.
Support debtor management and maintain accurate financial records.
Provide financial insights to operational stakeholders for decision‑making.

Required profile

BCom Accounting degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience handling the full accounting function.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple entities and meet competing deadlines.

Required skills

Proficiency with Pastel accounting software (mandatory).
Experience with Xero (advantageous).
