Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis

About the role

This Accountant position supports the financial operations of an established international organisation, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The role offers the chance to contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis while developing professional expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, manage general ledger reconciliations and process journal entries.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, and produce management accounts and financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, process supplier invoices and customer payments.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, track expenditures and report variances.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax submissions, VAT returns and regulatory reporting.
• Assist internal and external audit processes and improve financial controls.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends and provide recommendations for management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (SAIPA, SAICA, ACCA, CIMA) advantageous.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, including financial reporting and general ledger work.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
