About the role
The Accountant will support the company’s financial operations by maintaining accurate records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with retail, operations, and management teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and customer payments.
- Perform daily cash‑up reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and maintain general ledger entries.
- Assist in preparing VAT returns, monthly management accounts, and financial statements.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support management decision‑making.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate data in accounting systems and support audit processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial queries and support ad‑hoc finance projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (part of the Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience using Xero accounting software.
- Experience using Dext for expense processing.
