Accountant – Finance Role in Stellenbosch

About the role

Our client in Stellenbosch is looking for a qualified Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. The role involves managing the general ledger, preparing management accounts and supporting statutory reporting for a group of companies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and allocate costs and revenues across entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports.
• Perform regular reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist external auditors with documentation and explanations.
• Manage debtor functions, invoicing, collections and settlements.
• Process daily payments to business partners and monitor pre‑funding balances.
• Prepare SARS returns (income tax, VAT) and support tax audits.
• Reconcile intercompany loan balances and provide financial data for board packs.
• Handle refunds, chargebacks and ad‑hoc financial analysis.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in Finance or Accounting.
• Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles or at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Fluent business English; additional languages are a plus.
• Own reliable transport.
