Accountant – Capital Markets

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join the Capital Markets division of Apex Group. The role involves preparing accurate portfolio valuations and delivering high‑quality accounting and financial reporting services to a range of capital‑market clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day capital market accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients and structures.
• Work with managers and the wider team to plan, coordinate and complete Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
• Prepare management and statutory reports in line with IFRS and GAAP, ensuring compliance with regulatory and listing requirements.
• Assist in the development and mentoring of trainee accountants and interns.
• Liaise with portfolio managers, brokers and custodians to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure client responsibilities are met within agreed deadlines and best‑practice standards.
• Monitor daily tasks to guarantee timely and satisfactory completion.
• Collaborate with clients and internal colleagues to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Support external auditors during audit engagements.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting and financial reporting within capital markets or fund administration.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
• Familiarity with regulatory and listing requirements for capital‑market entities.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, brokers and custodians.
