Account Manager – Generalist (Vaal Triangle)

About the role

Hilti is seeking an experienced, highly driven Account Manager to own market share across the Vaal Triangle’s industrial, manufacturing and construction sectors. You will be responsible for developing profitable sales and managing a diverse client portfolio that includes construction firms, processing plants, petrochemical sites and agricultural customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth within the assigned territory by managing opportunities and meeting targets.
• Work across mining and construction sites, plants, offices and warehouses to build strong relationships with partners, contractors, system integrators and end‑users.
• Grow key Hilti product lines and introduce new solutions to customers.
• Ensure effective customer coverage to achieve profitable growth and provide product demonstrations and support.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitors and customer needs through ongoing research and monthly reporting.

Required profile

• Completed Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification (MBA is a plus).
• 3‑5 years of experience in a mining, construction or industrial sales role.
• Solid understanding of strategic sales processes, customer data analysis and pricing.
• Proven experience working with large sales teams and networking with senior management (Owner, GM, CEO, HODs).
• Demonstrated ability to develop client‑focused, differentiated solutions.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to go the extra mile.
