About the role

The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at Stellenbosch University is seeking candidates for Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer positions in the Department of Industrial Psychology. The roles involve teaching, research supervision, and service to the university and broader community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic and managerial leadership (Professor/Associate Professor level).
• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management.
• Supervise master’s and doctoral research projects and internships.
• Publish research in accredited journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Participate in internal and external service activities, social impact programmes, and community interventions.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Industrial Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Professional registration with the Professional Board for Psychology as an industrial psychologist.
• Proven record of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Evidence of successful supervision of master’s and doctoral students.
• Recognised research outputs and scholarly impact appropriate to the academic rank.
• Seven to ten years of teaching experience for senior appointments.

Required skills

• Advanced statistical computing: R, SPSS, SAS, LISREL, Mplus.
• Qualitative data analysis software: ATLAS.ti, NVivo.
