About the role

Scania is launching its 2026 BSO Programme to fast‑track newly qualified diesel technicians into a structured, hands‑on development pathway. The programme combines real‑world workshop exposure, mentorship, technical training and clear career progression within the commercial vehicle sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair work on diesel engines and related systems under supervision.
• Follow Scania quality standards, safety protocols and workshop procedures at all times.
• Complete workshop job cards, service reports and documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and workshop staff.
• Engage with Scania product training modules provided during the programme.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.

Required profile

• Completed and qualified diesel mechanic/technician trade in 2026.
• Age between 18 and 35 at time of application.
• South African citizen or permanent resident with a valid ID.
• National Senior Certificate (Matric) and physically fit for workshop work.
• Willingness to relocate or travel as required.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality and commitment to continuous learning.
