Workiva Implementation Specialist

About the role

PwC is hiring a Workiva Implementation Specialist in Johannesburg as part of its Risk Information, Reporting and Technology practice, within Risk Data and Analytics services. The specialist configures the financial reporting modules of the Workiva cloud-based corporate reporting platform, which covers financial reporting, ESG reporting, GRC, internal audit and SOX. The role sits at Associate level and involves working with the UK client engagement team.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the UK client engagement team to implement and configure Workiva financial reporting modules, including annual, statutory and management reporting.
• Set up and configure Workiva documents and spreadsheets.
• Identify and link data points across the Workiva platform to ensure seamless data flow.
• Map imported data to the appropriate financial statement tables (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
• Perform data validation checks and reconcile data points across sources.
• Take part in testing financial reports in Workiva to ensure data integrity and report accuracy.
• Assist with training end-users on the Workiva platform.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial reporting or a related field.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Workiva or other financial reporting tools is a plus.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to travel up to 20%.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and large datasets.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including explaining technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software, especially Workiva.
