Web3 Accountant

About the role

Network Finance is looking for a Web3 Accountant to join its innovative team in Cape Town. The role blends traditional accounting with emerging technologies such as blockchain, digital assets, AI and VR, offering a unique opportunity to grow in the Web3 space.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for DAO and foundation clients, overseeing operational aspects.
• Assist clients with day‑to‑day operations, administration and integral finance functions.
• Handle outsourced accounting tasks, including transaction management and bookkeeping.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts and basic financial statements for clients.
• Compile transparency reports, conduct KYC and due‑diligence checks on grant proposals, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review governance proposals, monitor compliance with bylaws and legal requirements, and provide summary reporting on proposals and on‑chain activities.

Required profile

• Completed BCom degree.
• Tech‑savvy with a passion for cryptocurrency, AI, blockchain and VR.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Enthusiasm to learn Web3 concepts; prior expertise not mandatory.
