Warehouse/Logistics Manager

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse/Logistics Manager to lead all warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics activities. The role ensures efficient movement, storage and distribution of goods while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, inventory accuracy and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse and logistics operations, including inbound and outbound processes.
• Manage receiving, storage, dispatch and distribution of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory, stock control and cycle‑counting procedures.
• Develop and implement warehouse procedures to boost efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels, investigate discrepancies and manage stock variances.
• Coordinate transportation, deliveries and logistics scheduling.
• Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
• Lead, mentor and manage warehouse and logistics personnel, including performance monitoring and training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Analyse operational performance, identify improvement opportunities and prepare reports for management.
• Manage warehouse resources, equipment and space utilisation.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, customers and internal departments.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and operational planning.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Management or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse and logistics management.
• Proven experience leading warehouse operations and logistics teams.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control and warehouse best practices.
• Experience in warehousing, distribution, import or related logistics environments.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite.
