Warehouse Team Leader – Port Elizabeth

About the role

Vestas is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to oversee its South African warehouse operations. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality handling of spare parts and critical components that support the company’s wind turbine service fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple warehouse sites and lead the assigned team to meet operational KPIs.
• Maintain budget control, track costs and ensure accurate cost management.
• Perform inventory counts following Vestas’ global guidelines.
• Interact with internal departments to guarantee timely completion of planned activities.
• Develop a lean, productive work environment and drive continuous improvement.
• Support service sites by guaranteeing reliable deliveries of spare parts and critical components.
• Track, trace and ensure availability of raw materials and goods from planning to dispatch.
• Maintain up‑to‑date procurement entries and support buying activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics or supply‑chain roles.
• Proven experience leading warehouse operations and managing teams.
• Strong commitment to safety culture and compliance.
• Ability to solve problems, conduct root‑cause analysis and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.
• Fluent English.
