Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our Durban warehouse team. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient stock movement, maintaining accurate inventory, and fostering a safe, organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate daily tasks, manage staff schedules and conduct morning planning meetings.
• Monitor staff productivity, attendance, discipline and overall team performance.
• Track daily KPIs, address performance concerns and provide coaching and training.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, checking, packing and dispatch of goods.
• Manage container off‑loading, local stock receiving and vehicle loading.
• Ensure accurate stock rotation, minimise discrepancies and coordinate stock movement between warehouses.
• Handle return crates, damaged stock, pallet repairs and oversee stock consolidation.
• Support safety and security inspections, conduct regular risk assessments and enforce health‑safety standards.
• Maintain equipment, perform fuel checks on forklifts and arrange repairs as needed.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports and investigate stock issues.
• Update SOPs, identify efficiency improvements and assist with warehouse layout optimisation.
