Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Our client, a well‑established food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations. You will be responsible for overseeing receiving, storage, picking and dispatch while ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking and dispatch.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe warehouse facilities.
• Implement and monitor FIFO processes for raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations and annual inventories.
• Track inventory levels, turnover and supplier lead times to avoid stockouts or overstock.
• Allocate tasks, coach and evaluate warehouse staff performance.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) minimum; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
• 2‑4 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• 1‑3 years in a supervisory or shift‑lead role.
• Experience in food‑and‑beverage manufacturing is advantageous.

Required skills

• Forklift Operator Licence.
• Material Handling Equipment Certification or OSHA‑related safety credentials.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
