Warehouse Supervisor – Chemicals

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor – Chemicals to lead daily operations at our Johannesburg facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient handling of chemical products while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of warehouse staff.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts and stock takes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures and OHSA compliance.
• Handle performance management, discipline, motivation and training of staff.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in a chemical environment.
• Knowledge of receiving, warehousing, dispatch and inbound/outbound logistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Business acumen with a customer‑service orientation.
• HR/IR experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ERP (Syspro).
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Inventory control expertise.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• OHSA safety compliance.
