Warehouse Picker

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Picker to join Hiconnex’s warehouse team. In this position you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing and preparing stock for dispatch, supporting our supply of military, aerospace and maritime components.

Key responsibilities

• Store items in their designated locations and maintain accurate bin card records.
• Pick stock according to picking slips and customer orders, verifying quantities and descriptions.
• Pack and prepare orders for dispatch while ensuring safe handling of goods.
• Report any discrepancies, damaged or missing stock to the store controller or supervisor.
• Assist with regular stock counts, inventory control activities and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification or equivalent; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1–2 years of housekeeping experience and up to 2 years of picking or warehouse experience.
• Physically fit, able to lift and move stock as required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
• Reliability, punctuality and a team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (advantageous).
