Warehouse Manager – Port Elizabeth Branch

About the role

A well‑established company is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Warehouse Manager for its Port Elizabeth branch. The manager will oversee inbound and outbound stock, stock control, customer deliveries, transporters, warehouse staff, stock counts, returns, purchasing and overall warehouse efficiency. Strong Syspro experience and a focus on accuracy and customer service are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound stock and transfers from the Cape Town factory to the PE warehouse.
• Control and accurately record all stock movements using Syspro.
• Oversee outbound stock, customer orders and ensure deliveries meet SLA.
• Coordinate in‑house transporters and schedule deliveries.
• Train, supervise and motivate warehouse staff and pickers.
• Handle customer returns, process credits and resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate records of damages and ensure proper decanting.
• Return empty pallets to the Cape Town factory for reuse.
• Identify process improvements and implement cost‑saving measures.
• Conduct monthly stock counts, investigate variances and take corrective action.
• Ensure OHS compliance through regular audits and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric; relevant qualification in Warehouse Management, Logistics or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• 5+ years’ experience in warehouse management within a busy distribution or supply‑chain environment.
• Proven ability to lead a warehouse team and manage operational staff.
• Strong experience in stock control, inventory management and using Syspro.
• Experience handling inbound/outbound movements, stock transfers, returns and transport coordination.
• Good understanding of OHS and warehouse safety requirements.
