Warehouse Manager

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead the warehouse and material flow for a family‑owned construction business that manufactures aluminium systems such as shopfronts, windows and doors. You will be responsible for the full material cycle – from generating cutting sheets to issuing finished goods – ensuring timely production and high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Generate cutting sheets from site measurements and architectural drawings using Bizman software.
• Plan material requirements, place orders with suppliers, and verify that deliveries match cutting lists.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, oversee receiving, labeling, storage and issue of stock.
• Conduct regular stocktakes, reconcile discrepancies and keep accurate movement records.
• Coordinate with production to schedule cutting, machining and assembly, monitoring output targets.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality, manage scrap and rejected items.
• Lead a team of approximately five staff, allocate tasks, monitor attendance and provide training.
• Enforce health, safety and compliance standards, ensure proper PPE use and a hazard‑free environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse or logistics operations in a manufacturing or construction setting.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan material procurement and inventory.
• Leadership capability to supervise and develop a small team.
• Attention to detail for quality inspection and stock reconciliation.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
