Warehouse Checker

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking a Warehouse Checker to ensure accurate, safe, and compliant warehouse operations. The role involves verifying picked and received stock, maintaining product integrity, and supporting stock control in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, pallet conditions, and supporting documentation for received and picked stock.
• Update bin cards, conduct stock counts, cycle counts and traceability checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, allergen control, stock rotation, stacking, and hygiene standards.
• Identify, report and manage damaged stock and pallets, coordinating correct disposal and accountability.
• Maintain accurate warehouse documentation such as receiving records, picking slips, loading documents and CHEP pallet transactions.
• Confirm correct stock, labels, pallet counts and truck allocations before dispatch.
• Coordinate picking and forklift teams, oversee staging, checking and photographic verification of loads.
• Uphold housekeeping standards to keep the warehouse clean, safe and audit‑ready.
• Support operational, HR and equipment inspection requirements, including time and attendance.

Required profile

• 2–3 years experience as a picker or forklift driver in an FMCG environment.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and checking abilities.
