VP of Engineering

About the role

Kuda is seeking a senior engineering leader to head its global engineering organization. As VP of Engineering you will drive scale, delivery, and compliance across a distributed team of over 100 software and quality engineers operating in multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a diverse, distributed engineering team of 100+ engineers, fostering engagement and professional development.
• Establish career frameworks and performance standards that reward technical excellence and leadership.
• Promote a culture of psychological safety where engineers can take calculated risks and innovate.
• Own internal execution of the product roadmap, ensuring high velocity while maintaining quality and security.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices such as GitOps, automated testing, and CI/CD to accelerate delivery cycles.
• Optimize engineering processes to improve developer experience across all squads.
• Oversee architectural integrity of cloud‑native, high‑throughput, low‑latency financial systems and ensure they can handle millions of global customers.
• Consolidate cloud infrastructure to simplify maintenance and improve cost efficiency.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure software delivery meets the highest security and financial‑compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, distributed engineering organizations.
• Track record of building high‑performing teams and establishing clear career progression paths.
• Ability to balance rapid delivery with rigorous quality and security standards.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, especially around compliance and risk frameworks.
