Virtual & Face-to-Face Insurance Advisor – Commercial & Personal Lines

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for an experienced Short‑Term Insurance Adviser to join their Cape Town team. The role combines virtual interactions with face‑to‑face meetings, focusing on both commercial and personal lines of short‑term insurance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage new and existing clients to assess short‑term insurance needs.
• Provide professional advice on suitable commercial and personal lines solutions.
• Manage and develop an allocated client portfolio while maintaining high service standards.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify opportunities for enhanced coverage and retention.
• Build long‑term relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities to meet growth targets.
• Respond promptly to client enquiries, offering timely advice and support.
• Stay updated on market changes, product developments, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all interactions comply with FAIS and relevant compliance standards.

Required profile

• NQF Level 5 qualification in Short‑Term Insurance.
• Valid RE5 certification.
• Current Class of Business (COB) requirements.
• Minimum five years’ experience in commercial short‑term insurance sales.
• Proven experience providing short‑term insurance advice and managing client portfolios.
