About the role

Thembisile Hani Local Municipality is recruiting for several positions within its Municipal Manager’s Office, Performance Management Unit and Technical Services Department. Roles range from administrative coordination to technical operation, offering both fixed‑term and permanent contracts at the Mthombomuhle (Kwaggafontein) workstation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ward committee programmes, meetings and training for newly elected members.
• Manage performance monitoring, data quality, reporting and compliance for local service delivery.
• Operate and maintain water‑treatment and wastewater‑treatment processes, including pump station control and equipment upkeep.
• Perform sewerage drainage tasks, septic‑tank cleaning, and general maintenance of municipal assets.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with relevant National Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience ranging from 0‑5 years depending on the position.
• Valid driver’s licence (code EB where required).
• Computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
