About the role

Ares Holdings is hiring two permanent Sales Assistants for the Vans store at New Market in Alberton, Gauteng. The role combines customer service, product knowledge and sales support, with a genuine interest in sneakers, streetwear, skateboarding and youth culture. Applications close on 22 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer enquiries and help shoppers find products that fit their needs
• Provide product knowledge and styling advice on sneakers, apparel and accessories
• Contribute to store sales targets and KPIs through customer engagement and product recommendations
• Assist with stock replenishment, transaction processing and visual merchandising
• Maintain an organised sales floor and represent the Vans brand positively

Required profile

• At least one year of sales experience, preferably with a similar brand
• Previous retail experience in fashion, footwear, sneakers, apparel or lifestyle products is beneficial
• Comfortable working weekends and retail holidays
• Genuine interest in Vans and its products
