UX Designer – Embedded, Web, Mobile & Desktop

About the role

We are looking for a UX Designer to shape the usability of embedded, web, mobile and desktop applications in the advanced technology sector. The role is based in Johannesburg with regular local and international travel to conduct on‑site user research.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and customer interviews to identify user pains, gains and needs.
• Create detailed user personas, user stories and high‑quality wireframes.
• Map intuitive user flows and hand them over to the Visual Design team.
• Run usability studies on live products and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Develop cross‑platform solutions while maintaining strict brand alignment.
• Champion human‑centered design principles throughout the software engineering lifecycle.

Required profile

• Relevant B‑Com, B‑Sc or B‑IT degree or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in a dedicated UX design environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel locally and internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma or Adobe XD (CorelDRAW and Photoshop are a plus).
• Deep knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, emotional design and UX psychology.
