Truck Sales Executive (New Vehicles)

About the role

The Truck Sales Executive will focus on selling new trucks, driving profit and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role requires independent deal initiation and closure.

Key responsibilities

• Sell new trucks to meet profit and unit targets while maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of sales transactions.
• Initiate, negotiate and close deals independently, adhering to pricing policies.
• Monitor creditor balances and keep legal documentation up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager on daily activities, promotions, and sales campaigns to improve performance.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with proven networking and canvassing abilities.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the capacity to close deals.
• Effective communication across verbal and electronic channels.
• Team‑player who can build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Ability to initiate contact with prospects and follow up consistently.

Required skills

• Minimum three years of sales experience in the truck industry (heavy‑truck experience advantageous).
• Matric/NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code 14 driver’s licence and clear criminal record.
• Understanding of financial aspects of sales and strong product knowledge.
