Travel Consultant (E-commerce Team) - Bellville

About the role

Pentravel, a division of Cullinan Holdings, a leading leisure, travel and tourism company, is looking for a dynamic, sales-focused and performance-driven Travel Consultant to join its E-commerce team in Bellville, Cape Town. You will provide expert advice to travelers, create bespoke itineraries and book all trip components, while reaching sales targets and helping the business grow.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to secure repeat business and referrals
• Design and sell customised itineraries that match individual preferences, budgets and needs
• Advise on destinations, including visas and travel insurance
• Convert leads and exceed sales targets through upselling, cross-selling and promoting preferred partners
• Maintain accurate client records using the company's operational systems
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally
• Stay up to date with industry trends

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a sales and target-driven role
• Excellent written (email, live chat) and verbal (telephone) communication skills
• Strong sales experience is non-negotiable; customer service skills are an added advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Passion for travel and good knowledge of popular destinations
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a roster basis

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation systems such as Amadeus is advantageous
