Transport Analyst

About the role

Join DHL Supply Chain South Africa as a Transport Analyst and support the medium‑term strategic goals to optimise the supply chain operation. You will run multiple “what‑if” scenarios, conduct cost‑benefit analyses and help design the most cost‑effective warehouse and distribution models.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in costing solutions and quantifying benefits.
• Collect, analyse and interpret supply‑chain data to identify opportunities and issues.
• Determine and analyse transport cost drivers to meet agreed KPIs.
• Build supply‑chain models and perform “what‑if” analyses.
• Support depot transport teams in cost containment, reductions and delivery flexibility.
• Conduct logistics benchmarking and competitor analysis.
• Act as a consultant to design teams for new business projects.
• Audit and model existing supply‑chain processes and support change initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data collection and analysis.
• Ability to develop and interpret performance metrics.
• Familiarity with supply‑chain modelling and cost‑benefit evaluation.
• Good communication skills to interface with site teams and present findings.
