Trainee Developer

About the role

TIH is seeking a motivated Trainee Developer to join its team supporting leading South African financial service providers. You will assist in creating, modifying and testing software applications while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer support for complex or non‑standard cases and enquiries.
• Analyse existing applications, identify improvement areas and contribute to enhancements.
• Participate in the design and development of new software solutions that meet client requirements.
• Perform routine testing of websites and applications, monitor performance and report defects.
• Support implementation of security measures such as firewalls and message encryption.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant technologies, regulations and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Completed Grade 12 education.
• Basic experience (4‑6 months) with simple office or operational systems.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn new programming languages and technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following established procedures and change‑management protocols.
