About the role

The Department of Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo is offering 204 learnership positions as Traffic Learner Officers. The twelve‑month programme combines practical traffic officer training with physical fitness development, preparing participants for a career in road safety enforcement.

Required profile

Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent recognised by SAQA).
Age between 18 and 35 years.
Valid driver’s licence and no criminal record.
No visible tattoos and not declared unfit to possess a firearm.
Medically, mentally and physically fit to undergo the training programme.

Required skills

Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
Verbal and written communication skills.

What we offer

Stipend of R70 383 per annum.
Structured twelve‑month training at the Traffic College, including practical exercises and integrity assessments.
Two pre‑entry assessments (practical exercise and integrity assessment) and security clearance.
Physical fitness training at the Traffic College throughout the programme.
