About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Telesales Consultant to promote and sell short-term insurance products to existing and prospective members. The role focuses on outbound calling, providing quotes, and converting enquiries into sales while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up promptly on leads generated by the marketing team.
- Provide accurate quotations and present insurance options to members.
- Convert quotations into sales, meeting or exceeding monthly targets.
- Contact potential members, underwrite policies, and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions and sales activities.
Required profile
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with FAIS credits (NQF level 4) and RE5 regulatory examination.
- Minimum 1 year of outbound contact-centre telesales experience.
- At least 6 months of short-term insurance experience in a brokerage environment.
- Target-driven, quality-oriented and able to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
