Technologist - Architecture (Data Centre)

About the role

The Technologist – Architecture (Data Centre) will support AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team by delivering architectural and engineering calculations, preparing specifications and drawing sets, and collaborating with design and drafting groups. The role is ideal for an early‑career Architectural Technologist looking to develop practical design skills within a global infrastructure firm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic architectural and engineering calculations for data‑centre projects.
• Prepare specifications, reports and data tables in line with project requirements.
• Maintain liaison with design and drafting teams to ensure accurate drawing production.
• Prepare, review and approve drawing packages under supervision.
• Assist with moderate‑complexity design assignments, including material take‑offs.
• Apply relevant codes, permits and software tools as introduced by senior staff.
• Interpret vendor documentation and integrate it into design deliverables.

Required profile

• BTech degree in Architectural Technology.
• Registered Candidate Architectural Technologist (SACAP) status.
• 1‑3 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
