Technical Sales Representative – Plant Nutrition (National)

About the role

We are seeking Technical Sales Representatives to promote and sell plant nutrition solutions across South Africa. You will work with growers to assess crop needs and deliver tailored fertiliser programmes, supporting them throughout the growing season.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet territory targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the assigned region.
• Conduct farm visits to evaluate crop performance and determine nutritional requirements.
• Recommend customised fertiliser and plant nutrition programmes based on crop, soil and environmental conditions.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with growers and key decision‑makers.
• Monitor crop performance and provide ongoing technical support throughout the season.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in technical agricultural sales or agronomy.

Required skills

• Knowledge of crop production.
• Expertise in plant nutrition.
• Understanding of soil fertility.
• Familiarity with fertiliser and agrochemical products.
