Technical Sales Representative – Food Technology/Science

About the role

This position is for a Technical Sales Representative within a well‑established food manufacturing and ingredients business. The role blends technical food‑application expertise with customer relationship management and business development, supporting both existing accounts and new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell food ingredients, products and technical services to existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct product application trials and on‑site testing for new and existing products.
• Support the development of new products, applications and markets.
• Provide customer training, technical advice and value‑added support.
• Assist butcheries and large food‑processing factories with product development and quality‑control implementation.
• Research potential new markets and analyse sales leads.
• Travel regularly to customer sites.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• 0–2 years of experience in food technology, product development or related field.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Strong customer service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve problems.

Required skills

• Food product application testing and trial execution.
