Technical Junior Project Manager

About the role

Join a fast‑growing South African connectivity scale‑up as a Technical Junior Project Manager. You will be embedded in the engineering team, driving delivery of software systems from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive delivery across engineering‑focused sprints and releases.
• Run Agile ceremonies with a strong understanding of technical context.
• Work closely with developers to track progress, remove blockers, and ensure quality delivery.
• Translate business and product requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.
• Manage backlogs, sprint planning, and roadmap alignment with engineering teams.
• Track delivery across systems, APIs, and platform components.
• Ensure effective handovers between product, engineering, and operations.
• Monitor delivery risks and dependencies across technical workstreams.
• Continuously improve delivery processes within a fast‑moving technical environment.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a Technical PM, Delivery, or Business Analyst role within a software engineering environment.
• Proven experience working directly with engineering teams, not just coordination.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to confidently engage with technical concepts such as APIs, microservices, cloud environments (AWS), front‑end and back‑end systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
