Technical Interior Designer

About the role

dhk Architects is seeking a technically skilled Interior Designer to lead design and documentation for hospitality, retail and commercial projects. The role combines creative interior design with detailed technical drawing, project ownership and construction oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of interior design projects from concept through handover.
• Develop technical design solutions that comply with local regulations.
• Produce complete construction documentation packages.
• Liaise with suppliers, site teams and project managers to ensure smooth execution.
• Facilitate project handovers and support business growth.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Technical Interior Design.
• 5‑7 years of experience in corporate interior design and space planning.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and local supplier market in South Africa.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Eligibility to work in South Africa.
