DTP Art Director – Publishing & Layout Specialist

About the role

The DTP Art Director at 99c is a publishing specialist responsible for creating product‑and‑price campaigns across multiple media channels. You will work with approved templates, agency databases and brand guidelines to deliver accurate, high‑quality advertising layouts.

Key responsibilities

• Produce layouts using approved campaign templates, product data and imagery while adhering to strict formatting rules (sizes, typography, column widths, kerning, styling).
• Select and verify colours against brand guidelines and campaign toolkits.
• Utilise Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, and the 99c workflow management system (Workbook) to process briefs, manage timesheets and track job status.
• Operate the client‑managed Retail Management System (RMS) to generate DTP outputs following approved processes.
• Meet all deadlines, including tight turnarounds, and follow the agency’s Finished Art handover checklist.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in product details, pricing, SKUs and promotional information, ensuring consistency across all layouts.

Required profile

• Diploma in Desktop Publishing, Art Direction or a related field (highly beneficial).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a DTP Artist or Art Director in an advertising agency, production bureau or digital environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• MacOS operating system.
• Figma (advantage).
• Experience with Retail Management System (RMS) and workflow tools (Workbook) is a plus.
